Residents cannot be forced to participate in funding an election against their will but that's exactly what the Clean Elections Law does. It's clearly unconstitutional and violates the right to free speech. It's time to do away with this law.

Some 400,000 taxpayers pay the kinds of fines associated with funding elections. The voter-approved system is completely fair because it doesn't discriminate in any way. Residents of all kinds pay these fines, making it a completely legal system.
