A statewide telephone line to report suspected terrorists is going to go into effect soon, and Gov. Pataki couldn't be more pleased with the new system. Now, citizens who know or see any suspicious persons have the ability to report it.

The hotline is going to be overwhelmed with phony calls that some law enforcement officials will have to pursue. There are already national hotlines and other ways one can report suspicious persons and incidents.
