In its appeal of a judge's ruling in favor of breaking up the company, Microsoft claims the court misinterpreted the antitrust laws when making his decision. Their business practices did not break the law and competition is alive and well.

Thousands of pages of internal Microsoft documents were used during the trial to illustrate the company’s monopolistic tactics and practices. Microsoft needs to be split in order to prevent such actions in the future.
