Leonard Peltier contends that evidence against him was falsified. The FBI used him as a scapegoat and has politicized the meaning of clemency. He has advanced diabetes, is losing his eyesight and may not live much longer. A pardon is justified.

Shell casings from Peltier's gun were found at the murder scene and one of the agents' guns was found in the car Peltier was riding in. He has even admitted that he shot in the direction of the agents. He's up for parole in 2006, so why free him now?
