PETA is announcing a worldwide boycott of Burger King restaurants due to alleged cruel treatment of animals. PETA is asking the company to modify some of its policies such as not stunning cows before killing them and de-beaking hens that lay eggs.

PETA should give the company time to adequately address the issue. Burger King is currently investigating the matter and has formed a new animal-welfare committee that will meet to discuss the guidelines.
