Lynne Cheney says that in resuming her career, she would return to serve on the corporate boards of Reader’s Digest and American Express Mutual Funds. This will create possible conflicts of interest because of her husband’s position as vice president.

We'll send your vote to Mrs. Cheney.

Dick Cheney has had a long career in public service and it has never even been suggested that Lynne Cheney ever tried to influence her husband improperly. Marriage to an elected official should not force a spouse to place limits on his or her career.
