Now that a U.S. company is claiming that it has cloned a human embryo for the first time, there is no time to wait. Without a law, embryos could be grown and destroyed, and scientists could open the door to the unethical practice of cloning human beings.
 

Researchers at Advanced Cell Technology, the company that reportedly cloned an embryo, are working to help humanity, not replicate humans. This is the first step in providing genetically compatible replacement cells for people with injuries and illnesses.
