Qantas chief executive Geoff Dixon said the airline's behaviour had been "exemplary", and there was no justification for imposing an external, enforceable code that would dictate its conduct.
 

Ansett buyer Solomon Lew said this is like "asking Dracula to regulate his blood intake" and that it does not "ensure a fair and competitive marketplace." Qantas has an 82 per cent domestic market share.
