Robert Kosilek, who goes by the name Michelle, is asking Massachusetts to pay for his sex-change operation because it is cruel and unusual punishment to let him suffer from a gender identity disorder. He said he is suffering depression and anxiety.

 		 If the state must pay for Kosilek's sex-change surgery, what comes next? Liposuction and nose jobs? This surgery is totally gratuitous and there's no way that taxpayers should have to cover the costs. This would set a troubling precedent.
