This year's Academy Awards seemed to go on forever. Halle Berry and Denzel Washington making history was a treat, but that doesn't justify running the program for more than 4 hours. It's an ego-fest and must be shortened in the future.

 		 Those who feel the show was too long could have changed the channel, but they would have missed a great finale. The Oscars are only once a year and for some, once in a lifetime. Allowing the Academy to indulge for one night isn't too much to ask.
