YES
The GOP has a sensible, affordable plan that gives subsidies to insurance companies to induce them to offer low-cost drug coverage
NO
Their plan is a sham that would only cover 1/5 of the drug costs expected for the elderly. It will help insurance companies more than Medicare beneficiaries

pro   con
The GOP has shown that it can help the elderly without breaking the bank. Rather than creating a bloated bureaucracy, the party's plan uses market forces to reduce drug costs. It would cost $350 billion - far less than the Democrats' $800 billion plan.

This plan would give huge sums of money to insurance companies in the hope that they would use it to help the elderly. Beneficiaries would still have to spend up to $3,700 per year of their own money, which isn't affordable to people on fixed incomes.
