| Someone else's mobile phone ringing often ruins the enjoyment of a public event. Public sites like hospitals and cinemas should be able to use jamming devices to prevent this. Without a ban, the irritation caused by mobile phones will grow. |
Jamming mobile phone lines may reduce occasional irritation, but it could also prevent emergency calls from being made, or prevent parents from calling their children. People should learn to be polite on their own; they don't need the rules set for them. |
