Aviation officials are asking that rules be changed governing the collection and storage of cockpit voice recordings. Sometimes valuable information is lost as a flight continues. Pilots should be required to preserve recordings after any incident.

We'll send your vote to the FAA.

Rules regarding what information is kept and what is erasable are very clear. Federal officials want pilots to be required to preserve recordings after any incident, but that's incredibly vague and will cause useless recordings to pile up.
