A Pennsylvania court overturned a 1998 Philadelphia city ordinance that acknowledges same-sex partnerships. The city has no authority to change the definition of marriage in order to suit a few gay workers. The decision was just.

The recent decision to overturn Philly's domestic partnership law is a huge step backwards. Same-sex partners of city employees are entitled to all the benefits of those legally married to city employees. Citizens won't sit by and let this injustice pass.
