Texas leads the nation in the campaign to end the trade ban on Cuba and now it appears other states are following suit. The ban is costing our state approximately $54 million a year in agricultural exports. The time has come to put our differences aside.

 		 Many business owners want Cuba to be permitted private financing, but some have had trouble collecting debts from their state-run companies. We have a long way to go before it would be wise to allow more than food and medical supplies to be traded.
