Studies show that after the Sept. 11 attacks, more air passengers were being polite and understanding toward airline employees. We've come to realize that a little delay isn't such a big problem because it usually has to do with our own safety.

There's a difference between these problems subsiding and being hidden due to fear of reprisal. Many air travelers are still very upset over delays and cancellations, but they won't express their rage due to concerns over security.
