While it may be true that asylum seekers should return to their home countries when it is safe to do so, simply telling them to do so is overly simplistic. Many asylum seekers have left areas where there are still people who would persecute them.
 

He said: "We are freeing countries... and making it possible for them to get back home and rebuild their countries. I have no sympathy whatsoever with young people in their 20s who do not get back home and rebuild their country and their families."
