Should colleges urge students to stop smoking?
Polls Have Closed

YES
The deadly habit usually begins at a young age. Schools have a responsibility to encourage students to quit smoking before it's too late
NO
Universities have other priorities. It's not their place to pry into the private lives of students, especially when it involves health issues

By encouraging smoking cessation programs, thousands of people could be saved from emphysema, cancer, and slow death. Most colleges already ban smoking on most of the campus. They should go the extra mile and encourage students to stop smoking.

Who is to say what adult students can or cannot do? Smoking is not against the law, and if students choose to smoke - knowing what could happen to them as a result -then let them. Colleges should educate, not act as babysitters for grown men and women.
