The University of Maryland is coming under fire from anti-gay zealots for handing out copies of "The Laramie Project" to freshmen. This is a thought-provoking book about how homophobia led to violence, and how an incident of hatred affected a community.

 		 The university is using the book to promote homosexuality and portray those who believe in traditional family values as bigots. That's unfair to students and faculty who genuinely believe that homosexuality is wrong. Their values should not be attacked.
