Judges aren't supposed to be devoid of opinions, yet civil rights groups are opposing the McConnell's nomination to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals due to his views. Just because he doesn't support the gay lifestyle shouldn't make him ineligible.

 		 Michael McConnell has written law briefs and articles that cause many to believe he won't fairly enforce civil rights laws. He opposed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, for example. Someone with such strong anti-gay views can't be impartial.
