Interior Secretary Norton has said that she would recommend a veto in such a case. Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham says it does not make sense to "beg for oil... when there are billions of barrels of oil waiting to be extracted right here in Alaska."

We'll send your vote to President Bush.

The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge should remain exactly what it is: a refuge. It was created to protect the area's caribou, polar bears and other wildlife from the effects of development. Allowing oil drilling at ANWR would cause irreparable damage.
