Sampras hasn't played since he won a record 14th Grand Slam singles title in September, and he recently withdrew from all remaining ATP tournaments this season. His wife has a baby on the way and Sampras has nothing left to prove. His legacy is secure.

 		 Winning the Open dramatically increased Sampras' chances of qualifying for the Tennis Masters Cup, but now he's throwing that opportunity away. The 31-year-old legend has many great years ahead of him, as long as he doesn't let his talents go to waste.
