Polls Have Closed

City leaders and the local sheriff's station said that the assault appeared to be motivated by anti-gay bias

There's no direct evidence that this was a hate crime. The D.A. has a better chance of making the current charges stick

L.A. District Attorney Steve Cooley has disregarded the hate-crimes charges filed recently in the brutal beating of actor Trev Broudy and another gay man. Clearly the crime was motivated by anti-gay bias and should be prosecuted as such.

We'll send your vote to the L.A. County District Attorney's Office.

There's no direct evidence that the attack on Trev Broudy and another gay man was a hate crime. There were no anti-gay remarks uttered during the attack so the evidence is going to be hard to come by. The actual motive may have been robbery.
