Tory chairman Theresa May said that the party must change its "nasty" image or face "slaughter" at the polls. She said the "feuding, sniping, glib moralising and hypocritical finger wagging" within the party had to end.

Theresa May has the wrong idea. The party shouldn't have to resort to changing the way it presents itself; many voters feel that the Tory party is doing a good job representing them, and those voters should not be abandoned.
