All students should be allowed to opt out of this outdated and cruel tradition that has students cutting open frogs, worms or fetal pigs. Nowadays, kids can learn just as much from a more accommodating, and ultimately less expensive, computer simulation.

There is no doubt about it: dissection is a far better learning tool than simulation and is necessary for the advancement of science. We should not kowtow to the emotional whims of certain students who aim to mainstream this unacceptable behavior.
