There has been a rise in the number of steroid abuse cases and the age of abusers is getting younger. More than a half-million 8th and 10th grade students are now using steroids, and many older students don't even feel these drugs are dangerous.

 		 Schools are facing a growing number of lawsuits contending that suspicionless testing violates the "privacy clause" in some state constitutions. Blanket testing isn't the right way to stop steroid abuse; athletes must be under suspicion of abuse first.
