A request from the Canadian government for exemptions to tough immigration regulations has been approved The regulations granted the INS authority to monitor travelers born in Iran, Iraq, Libya, Sudan and Syria. It was biased and unfriendly.

 		 The new policy was passed in response to the Sept. 11 attacks and the reasoning behind it is justified. In the past, terrorists have found it very easy to enter our country through the Canadian border. We must protect the U.S. from future attacks.
