The Army has discharged 9 linguists who were studying Arabic, Mandarin Chinese and Korean due to their sexuality. Seven of the linguists admitted they were gay and two were caught together after curfew. They violated Army policy and deserved a discharge.

The "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy must be abolished. The military has a shortage of linguists and cannot afford to throw out talented Americans because they happen to be gay. It's time to put these antiquated policies to rest for the good of the country.
